Recently, Cisco and Pearson VUE agreed in an exclusive agreement. According to which Pearson VUE is now the sole Online Testing Provider for the Cisco certifications like CCNA, CCNP, CCSP, CCVP, CCIP, CCDP, CCIE Written etc.

Meanwhile, Prometric is now the exclusive Online Testing Provider for certification programs from Microsoft. According to Prometric websites, it "offers a consultative approach to test development and assessment. Through close collaboration with..." the vendors it defines the "programs goals and requirements and deliver an assessment that is valid, reliable and legally defensible..."

Besides such exclusive programs, both of them are engaged in providing certification testing programs, around the world with their corresponding testing partners.
